Wiko Sunny 2 Plus Unlock Bootloader And Custom Recovery

HOW TO UNLOCK BOOTLOADER WIKO SUNNY 2 PLUS AND INSTALL CUSTOM RECOVERY.

Here's how to unlock the bootloader and install custom recovery ( CWM ).  I've done porting CWM recovery to our beloved Wiko Sunny 2 Plus device. So, please follow my tutorial below.

For a reminder that this tutorial will void your warranty. And it will fully format your phone. So it's best to do this you need to backup the important files first ( doc / etc / music / photo ).

I will not be responsible if something goes wrong, it is in your own fault.

Download the file below first and extract it at your computer desktop. At your computer please install your device driver first and the adb installer needs to be installed as well. If all is already installed before, so you do not have to do anything.

Let's go to the next step, things to do on your phone.

Navigate to Settings/About Phone scroll to the bottom and tap Build number ( 7 to 8 times ). You'll get a short pop-up in the lower area of your display saying that you're now a developer.

Go back and now access the Developer options menu, enable USB debugging and click OK on the prompt, also in the same Developer options menu please enable OEM unlocking. that's it. 

To test whether ADB is working properly, connect your phone to pc, open folder WikoSunny2plusResource and double click command prompt and run the following command:

   adb devices

If you see an alert on your phone device requesting permission to "Allow USB debugging," click OK.

You should see a device in the list. If your device is connected but nothing appears in the list, disconnect and reconnect the USB connection and test again or you’ll need to install the appropriate drivers.

If all is okay goto next step and run the following command:

   adb reboot bootloader 

This will reboot into your bootloader. Please wait until your pc detect your phone.

If all is okay, run the following command:

   fastboot devices

   fastboot oem unlock

At your phone please press the Volume UP button for yes and wait until your bootloader flow is unlock.

If all is okay, run the following command:

   fastboot reboot 

Or you can pull out the battery and put it back and start your phone normally. Your phone will be formatted. Don't panic. When it's already started, do the setup as usual. Voilaa..your phone bootloader is unlock.

Now how to install custom recovery.

Things to do on your phone navigate to Settings/About Phone scroll to the bottom and tap Build number seven ( 7 to 8 times ). Connect your phone to pc open folder WikoSunny2plusResource  and double click cmd and run the following command:

   adb devices

If you see an alert on your Android device requesting permission to "Allow USB debugging," click OK.

If all is okay next step run the following command:

   adb reboot bootloader

This will reboot into your bootloader please wait until your pc detects your phone.

If all is okay run the following command:

   fastboot devices

   fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

To confirm your cwm works or not, run the following command:

   fastboot oem reboot-recovery

This will restart your recovery mode and If all is okay, your custom recovery is already installed in your phone. That's it..Good Luck guys.

Bug so far :

Restore - nandroid.md5 mismatch ( try using youtube method ) I do not have time to investigate.

How to solve - I used twrp option mode for backup and restore and it works.

You can find option under ( backup and restore/misc nandroid settings/use twrp mode (x) )

PS :

For TWRP recovery, I no longer use this phone and I do not have this device so I do not have the chance to porting for twrp. Sorry guys.
